ABOUT THIS RETREAT
DESCRIPTION
Let’s dig in and uncover our true identity as cherished children of the Father. We will worship and study together to discover the truth about who God says we are. We will root out and remove the lies that the world has told us about our identity and the ones we have constructed for ourselves. We will journal and create beautiful and meaningful artwork that will remind us daily of the truths that we will uncover together.
"I am so excited to share this journey with you as we dig into scripture to hear what the Lord has to say about who we really are. We are cherished, loved and chosen. He delights in his sons and daughters and wants us to live in that place of joy. He wants us to have the abundant kingdom life! Let’s learn and worship together and then create beautiful artwork as an Ebenezer of remembrance to carry home.” -Amy
ARTIST BIO
Amy Smith is a contemporary abstract artist who is inspired to create expressionist paintings that capture feeling and emotion. Amy works in mixed media and acrylics to create abstract fine art that is deeply layered and textured. Her contemporary art is a form of storytelling. She captures these stories with color and gesture and mark making.
“Abstract painting is a vehicle to outwardly express the deep inner work of the Spirit in me.
I am inspired by emotions, relationships, current events, the natural environment, and most centrally, my faith in relationship to all of these things.” -Amy
Amy has a passion for helping people find freedom in and through creativity. She believes that everyone is creative and loves to help her clients and students learn to partner with the Holy Spirit to discover the creative gifts He has placed in them, and to hone their voice and skill to display God’s beauty through their art. Amy loves to share her passion for art and creativity through her painting classes, individual art instruction and creativity coaching.
